| Fournier's 1 mk 'serpentine' is very successful in design. The best sign of a fake is a tiny line hanging from the last pearl on right side of the crown. I have marked it in the scan.
Other signs are coarser paper than normal and perforation that doesn't match exactly to genuine perforations.
Fournier has used several different cancels on his fakes. This Nyslott town cancel is not known in Ossa's book about forgeries of Finnish stamps.
This stamp was for sale in eBay US openly as a Fournier forgery. eBay killed the auction. It seems that under US law (or at least eBay US rules) forgeries must be marked permanently before selling them. Anybody with better knowledge, please tell us. Anyway, collectible fakes are sold openly in eBay DE.

Bjørn Hinnerichsen (08-06-2008) Nyslott 21.5.1971. Scan from HFF Reference Manual of Forgeries vol.3. It look as if M.Fournier was working on some kind of science fiction project ;)
Bjørn Hinnerichsen (09-12-2009) Just now on Valby, weekly auction 1163, lot 2114 another copy of this Fournier fake. First time in Denmark?
Bjørn Hinnerichsen (10-12-2009) Item withdrawn
